Witches LARP (Winter 2024)

Our second assignment in Foundations of Game Design was to create a Live Action Role Playing Game with the prompt "witches." Me and my team came up with the scenario of a coven of witches deciding wether to fulfill a human's request for a love potion. From this premise we kept brainstorming and adding to the plot. I especially enjoyed developing the witches as characters: giving them relationships, their own moral values, and formative experiences that explained those values. I also had to write a "script" for our classmate who was playing the human NPC with responses and explanations to any questions I thought the players might pose to the character. TEA: Play (Spring 2023)

At the Commonwealth High School acting club, every year seniors get to put on their own play. When it came to our turn, we decided to write our own script based on our interests. You can find a more in-depth synopsis of the play and writing process here and a folder including our full script here. I found it especially eye-opening to write a character and dialogue I would have to act myself.
